"Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever." - Ecclesiastes 1:4 (NIV)

The world will not end, it will have a new beginning. One people, one world and One God.

The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name. Zechariah 14:9 (NIV)

The Great Pretender

Revealed on August 22, 2005

Jesus died for his own sins, that of pretending to be a “son of God” and being “one with the father.”  As it was read earlier that he was not a real "son of God," how did it come about that he was called a "son of God?"

Maestro Evangelista has said that nothing happens without a cause.  What or who made Jesus pretend that he was the "son of God"?  Was it Jesus' own intention to do it, or was he influenced by another?

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples,

"Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
Matthew 16:13 (NIV)

This was the time Jesus came to ask his disciples a question regarding his identity, that he was the "son of Man" or the "son of David," and how did his disciples answer him?

Remember, the question is about who the "son of Man" is, not about the "son of God:"

They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others,

Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
Matthew 16:14 (NIV)

By their answers the apostles don't really know Jesus, for they have answered that the "son of Man" might be one of the prophets. What Jesus wanted from his disciples was for them to say that he is "son of Man" or the "son of David".  They were the ones who will give witness to him being the "son of Man" or the "son of David."  And he asked them again...

"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
Matthew 16:15 (NIV)

Now, Jesus was asking them again, and who would answer him...

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Matthew 16:16(NIV)

The question was about “who is the son of man” not about the "son of God".  It was Peter who answered that Jesus was the "son of God," but his answer was far from the truth!  It was a wrong answer to the question posed by Jesus.  What did Jesus say to Peter regarding his answer; did he rebuke Peter for his answer?

THE FIRST OFFENSE

Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not

revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
Matthew 16:17(NIV)

No, instead Jesus praised Peter for his response!  This shows that Jesus was elated by Peter's answer.  He pursued Peter’s assumption.  This was the turning point in Jesus' life!  Instead of rebuking Peter for his flattery; Jesus was even overjoyed by Peter's answer.  This was the first offense he had committed.  He had allowed himself to be called a "son of God".  Regarding his sign in Isaiah 7:13-15, there was a reminder that it is up to him to choose the good and refuse the evil.

This confirms the arrogant attitude Jesus has shown even in his youth.  Remember that Jesus is "born of a virgin," of an unmarried woman.  With the strict observance of the Law, Jesus would be...

No one born of a forbidden marriage or any of his descendants may

enter the assembly of the LORD, even down to the tenth generation.
Deuteronomy 23:2 (NIV)

This is the status of Jesus in Jewish society during his time.  He is considered an outcast – but he was “chosen” to deliver and lead his disobedient people to return to God.  This is God's way of showing to His people that He is already angry with them.

God has “chosen” a man despised by Jewish society to lead his people back to God.  Maestro Evangelista says this is God's way of redemption for His people; like a snake bite, the cure would be the serum of the venom of the snake.  Since they have been rebellious to Him, God will make them listen to and learn from a man whom they considered an outcast, which is hard for them to do. In order to save themselves, they will have to hear him (Jesus) and follow him, to repent and to return to God.  The Israelites have to humble themselves before God.

As for Jesus, a man born of a virgin (an unmarried woman,) was “chosen” to lead his rebellious people; a man they abhor.  Jesus should have shown his sign and the people should have recognized and accepted his sign.  The people, in order to show their sincerity to God, should have acknowledged that Jesus was indeed sent and they should have also humbled themselves before God. Jesus should have shown humility toward his people; since he was “chosen” by God.  He should have not been arrogant towards his people, so that may accept him in return.

Regarding the "chosen ones" or the "anointed" of God, where do they come from?  Are they “chosen” from the elite of the society? What kind of people are they?

Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: "Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?  And as if this were not enough in your sight, O Sovereign LORD, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant.  Is this your usual way of dealing with man, O Sovereign LORD ? "What more can David say to you?  For you know your servant, O Sovereign LORD.
II Samuel 7:18-20 (NIV)

David was only a shepherd boy when he was “chosen” by God, and...

So he asked Jesse, "Are these all the sons you have?"
"There is still the youngest," Jesse answered, "but he is tending the sheep."

Samuel said, "Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives."
I Samuel 16:11 (NIV)

David was the youngest in the family.  How did God choose him?  For what reason?

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7 (NIV)

God looks in the hearts of men.  He saw through David as being humble and obedient.

Was there another incident that God made this same manner of selection?

The angel of the LORD came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites.  When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."

"But sir," Gideon replied, "if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, 'Did not the LORD bring us up out of Egypt?'  But now the LORD has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian."  The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand.  Am I not sending you?"
"But Lord," Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel?  My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family."  The LORD answered, "I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together."
Judges 6:11-16 (NIV)

Gideon came from the least of the tribes of Jacob, but he was chosen by God.

With regard to Jesus, what was God’s Word about him, hundreds of years before his birth?

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.  He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right.
Isaiah 7:14-15 (NIV)

This is the sign of the man that GOD sent to his rebellious people; a man "born of a virgin," an unmarried woman.  This would really make Jesus a bastard or an “outcast” in the eyes of the Jews, but God is sending this "man" to his people to lead them back to God!  This is the sign of Jesus to his people.

If Jesus is to choose the right and reject the wrong, he will succeed in his mission.  He has to overcome and humble himself before God so that his people may know that he is the "anointed" of God.  They knew of his coming from the day he was prophesied.

What happened in his youth?  How did he grow up?

When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom. After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it.  Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.  Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.
When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this?  Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."
Luke 2:42-48 (NIV)

It took his mother great pains looking for him, and when he was found, how did he answer his mother?

"Why were you searching for me?" he asked.

"Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?"
Luke 2:49 (NIV)

With this answer, even as a youth, he has displayed arrogance and great ambition: he wanted to be known as a "son of God," even at an early age.

But they did not understand what he was saying to them.
Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them.

But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.
Luke 2:50-51 (NIV)

His mother knew that in the future Jesus will stray from his mission.

Is it true?

Maestro Evangelista asks: how did Jesus treat his real family during his mission?

When it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. When it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."

He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
Matthew 12:44-50 (NIV)

He has distanced himself from his real family and humiliated them in front of many people.

With this behavior that Jesus had exhibited to his people, his sign was not seen that he was “chosen” by God.

To those who are not familiar with the true family of Jesus...

Isn't this the carpenter?  Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon?  Aren't his sisters here with us?"  And they took offense at him.
Mark 6:3 (NIV)

The names of the brothers of Jesus were mentioned; his sisters' names were not mentioned. Jesus was indeed "human."

OBEDIENCE TO OUR PARENTS

What was the commandment of God regarding respect for parents?

"Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you,

so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD

your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 5:16 (NIV)

Did he uphold it?  No, he was the first to break it.

What is the punishment for breaking this commandment?

" 'If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.

He has cursed his father or his mother, and his blood will be on his own head.
Leviticus 20:9 (NIV)

Did it happen to Jesus or not?

With regard to the prophecy in Isaiah 7:14-15, he chose the evil (wrong) and has since become swollen with pride.  What else did he say to Peter?

THE SECOND OFFENSE

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church,

and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16:18 (NIV)

He had set up his own church.  What was given before in the prophecy?  Is it true that he had to put up his own church?

And to read the prophecy again...

When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.
He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.  I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men.
II Samuel 7:12-14 (NIV)

He will be called the "son of God", which is the honor or title that will be conferred to the offspring if he succeeds in building the house with the Name of God.  Jesus’ task was merely to point to the house with the Name of God.  If he had led his people to see the house with God’s Name, the title of "son of God" will be bestowed on him, by his people, in recognition for his effort.  This was supposed to be the blessing.

The curse, if he commits iniquity he will be punished by men.  The reason why God always gives His prophets a blessing and a curse is that all of them are men and not perfect.  They may or may not follow God’s decree.  It's up to them whether they will do it or not.

Let's read again in...

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church,

and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16:18 (NIV)

This was Jesus' second offense; he had set up his own church and had abandoned the mission given to him by God.

This was the blunder of the religions; they have taken the statement of Jesus as the foundation of their faith, when in fact this was Jesus' iniquity.  The religions read only the answer of Peter, but never read the question asked by Jesus.  They could have seen the discrepancy.  Jesus said that even hell will not overcome it.  What other things did he say to Peter?

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Matthew 16:19 (NIV)

These are the promises made by Jesus to Peter, since Peter flattered Jesus; Jesus also flattered Peter in return.  This is where the popes of the Vatican derive their authority, from the empty promises of Jesus to Peter.

Did Jesus realize that he had committed a very serious offense?  What did he tell his disciples?

Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.
Matthew 16:20 (NIV)

This is one proof that Jesus knew he had done a very serious offense.  If he was the real "son of God," why would he have to order his disciples not to tell everyone about him, being the "son of God”?

From the time he pretended to be the “son of God” and had built his own church, did he know that he will receive the heavy punishment according to the prophecy?

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
Matthew 16:21 (NIV)

It has been determined in the prophecy that he was to receive punishment for his iniquity, and Jesus knew it.  When his disciples heard him say this; who will again come to console him on this matter?

Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.

"Never, Lord!" he said.  "This shall never happen to you!"
Matthew 16:22 (NIV)

The one who flattered Jesus and made him commit an offense is again trying to assure Jesus that the punishment will not happen to him.

How did Jesus answer Peter?

Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling

block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
Matthew 16:23 (NIV)

Earlier, he was elated with the idea suggested by Peter that he was the "son of God".  Now that Jesus was telling them that he was to suffer the consequences of pretending to be the "son of God," he tells Peter that he is Satan.  This means that all the while, Peter was already under the influence of Satan, especially when he flattered Jesus.

It meant that Satan had won over Jesus.  Just as Satan won over Adam through Eve in the garden which is why they were cursed and banished from the garden. Adam had direct communication with God, so in order for Satan to deceive him, Satan first tempted the woman or Eve, who in turn deceived Adam.

Jesus knew about their story in the garden and did not marry, so it would not happen to him.  He made sure of it.  What Satan did was to deceive and influence Peter, and the devil finally deceived Jesus using Peter.  Since Jesus had no wife, Satan used the closest disciple, Peter, to successfully deceive Jesus.

It was not the treachery of Judas and even the flattery of Peter that should be blamed for the demise of Jesus, it should be Jesus himself.  If he had learned from the mistakes of those who came before him, and stood by God’s Word, he would have succeeded in his mission.

What the religions told the people was the story of what Jesus has done in the book of the New Testament, but not about the prophecy; the reason for his coming and the real mission given by God.  When we read the prophecy of Jesus in the book of the prophets, we get a clear idea who Jesus really was.  He never fulfilled his mission!

The religions preached that Jesus had fulfilled the prophecies in the Holy Bible, without the knowledge of the true prophecy concerning Jesus compared to what he had done and the manner of his punishment.  We will never know the truth that Jesus has failed.  If we are to read about Jesus in the books of the apostles, we will never know the real Jesus and never find the solution to the present troubles of the world.

This will come as a shock to all but it is clearly written in the Holy Bible… and you might ask who is Maestro Evangelista, what authority does he have regarding Jesus?

Is Maestro Evangelista set out against and discredit Jesus?  Let us read from Jesus’ own words:

"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.

I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
Revelation 22:16 (NIV)

Jesus is saying that he is sending an "angel" or a messenger in his name.  This “angel” will be sent to all men, and will come in Jesus’ name to teach everyone that Jesus is a "descendant" of David; that he is a man, not a "son of God"; and that he is also "the bright morning star" that was prophesied in the Holy Bible.

An "angel" of Jesus is coming.  Why were the religions not aware of this prophecy in the past two thousand years?

If the religions compel us to believe in their teaching that Jesus is the “son of God” and we compare it with Jesus’ admission, (that he was the root and offspring of David), it would mean that David is a god and we know that David was not!

The Revelation of the Foreigner as mentioned by King Solomon in:

“As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your name— for they will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm—when he comes and prays toward this temple, then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name."

I Kings 8:41-43
